Comment: I ordered banded sunfish and Dwarf golden eyes which came in perfect and extremely active. I was worried about shipping to me in the cold but Dan’s assured me they would be fine and they were. Only hiccup that I was not happy about was UPS put my package at end of my 200’ driveway in the snow and it says right on box keep at room temperature. Thank god my wife caught it in time. I will be taking this up with UPS. Dans was great and will continue to buy from them! Ray

Comment: This is my first time ordering fish online. I ordered Rummy Nose Tetras and Cardinal Tetras to build up the schools that I already have in my 90gal planted tank. I also ordered 3 German Blue Rams and 5 CPDs (Celestial Pearl Danios) to put in the same aquarium. They all arrived healthy in a very well packed shipping box and the heater packs were still very warm. I appreciate the diligence put forth by Dan to ensure that all of the fish were packaged safely. I really liked seeing that all of these fish were individually bagged. I believe this helped reduce stress on the fish during transit. I plan on breeding all of these fish in the future. Comment: This was my very first time getting fish shipped to me from anywhere, so I was a bit nervous, especially considering it was freezing where I was and my order had a couple sensitive species like the West Java pea puffer. Everything arrived alive and well. The heat packs were reading around 95° F and the fish were reading right around 83° F. One of the dwarf emerald rasboras still seems a bit stressed from the journey but some of them have already colored up nicely and it’s only the second day. I’ve even seen two hanging out in a spawning mop already, doing their dance. After less than a day! Crazy. A bit concerned about that one that’s still dazed, but I’m hoping it’ll pull through. One of the green leaf algae-eating shrimp keeps trying to go down the outlet tube of the sponge filter, but he’s a bit special in the head, I think. The others have been constantly grazing and very active. The West Java pea puffer has been exploring his enclosure and has been picking at some of the microfauna in there but hasn’t taken bloodworms quite yet, but it otherwise looks like it’s acting normally and looks healthy. Thanks for making my first fish shipping experience a good one!

Comment: I received six Annie’s gobies and a reticulated hillstream loach from Dan’s fish yesterday. The fish arrived on time and are all in excellent condition. Each fish was in an individual bag. If you are considering a purchase from Dan’s, I would recommend ordering without hesitation. I have never seen better packing or nicer looking fish, right out of the bag. I had to change the shipment date a couple of times due to unforeseen circumstances - Dan's Fish made changing the shipment date process extremely easy and straightforward! That being when they arrived - everyone looked great and were eating "immediately" after acclimation. I ordered some long fin super red bushynose plecos and these are by far the best individual specimens that I have seen; while still small - the coloration and fin-age is incredible. I highly recommend shopping here and will continue to do so - as they have a lifetime customer and fish fan in me!

Comment: This is my second batch of black otocinclis so now I have 20. I love this species because they are mini and beautiful pattern. They are pricey but aquarium-raised so I think it is worth a premium for the hobbiest anscwell ans these vigorous young fish. Anyway all are well and appear delighted with their new home. I noticed my first 10 are really enjoying wood based on the “sawdust”. Now it is a pretty big colony so let’s see what comes! Comment: I bought kissing rice fish, long fin white cloud mountain minnows, and sweet little cherry barb youngsters. all arrived healthy, beautiful, and all of them ate within 30 minutes of being put into their tank. the white clouds immediately hung out with the other white clouds, as did the cherry barbs. this is my first time having rice fish, they ate from the top, and I also put tiny sinking baby pellets in a bare bottom corner of the tank, (the rest of the tank has substrate and plants) and the rice fish along with all of the other fish were happy to eat right from the floor of the aquarium. lovely fish, lovely experience.
